North Carolina Association Of Law Enforcement Explorers
                                           WHO ARE WE

     
The North Carolina Association of Law Enforcement Explorers , is an association of Explorer Post from across the state dedicated to provide training and other acitivities - consistent with the established BSA guidelines- to young people involved in Law Enforcement Exploring.
      The N.C.A.L.E.E. is reconized by the National Exploring Office of the Boy Souts of America, (BSA) as a State Exploring Association.
     The N.C.A.L.E.E. has a Board of Directors or Senoir Staff comprised of Post Advisors from across North Carolina that oversees the operations of the Association.
     The N.C.A.L.E.E. operates under the established By-Laws and Rules and Regulations.
     The N.C.A.L.E.E. is registered as a non-profit orginazation and has its own taxpayer indentification number.
   The N.C.A.L.E.E. member post are divided into four regions broken down by geographical locations: East, West, Central-East, Central-West. Each region has a repersentive on the Staff to ensure equal repersention across the state.


                                      WHAT WE DO
      The N.C.A.L.E.E. is commited to sponsor at least two major events each year.
                   
N.C. Academy for Law Enforcement Explorers
      The Academy is held the third week of June at the N.C. Justice Academy at Salemburg, N.C.. The Academy is a disciplined week of police recruit like training. Applications are sent to member post in April. Law Enforcement Officers from across the State make up the training staff for the academy. Literally hundreds of years of law enforcement experience from state, county and municipal officers are repersented each year. Training topics include: history of law enforcement.constitutional law, elements of search/seizure; also included is hands on/ role playing scenarios in areas such as domestic intervention, felony vehicle stops, mechanich of arrest, etc. Awards are given to those Explorers demostrating academic achivement, as well as self achivement awards voted on by fellow Explorers and Training Staff Members. The motto of the academy is "
Teamwork & discipline, Be Good or Be Gone!!"

                        
N.C.A.L.E.E. Survival Weekend
      This event is held in mid to late fall at B.S.A. Camp Bud Schiele in Rutherford County, N.C. The week-end consists of competive events for both Post teams and individual Explorers. Events such as Felony Vehicle Stops, Physical Fitness, Obstacle Course, are some of training/competition areas offered. Awards are prensented in each competition. This is a camping weekend at one of the finest Boy Scout Camps in the State. All B.S.A. guidelines are strictly enforced along with the N.C.A.L.E.E. Code of Conduct.
                                    OTHER INFORMATION

The NCALEE has been in existence since 1977. The Association has been involved  with literally thousands of young people involved in the Exploring program. Many have gone on to pursue careers in the Law Enforcement / Criminal Justice profession.

Annual association dues are $20.00 the dues help to offset cost such as printingcost, mailing cost, Academy fees, etc.
