"Je vais me marier Marie" - Patrick Juvet
The Swiss Final was held on February 16th at the DRS Studios in Berne. The winner was chosen by a combination of public voting, a press jury and and "experts" jury. Only the placings of the songs are known. There was due to be a 10th song in the final - "Bitte glaub es nicht" (Please don't believe it) by Monica Morell which was withdrawn by the composer who wasn't a Swiss citizen at the time.

Patrick Juvet came 12th at the Eurovision. Peter, Sue & Marc represented Switzerland in 1971, while Henri Dès did the same in 1970.
