At the ESC Andy Paul came 15th. Lia Vissi-Piliouri was a backing singer for Greece in 1979 and 1980. "Thimame" by Yiannis Demetriou was re-submitted to the internal Cypriot Final in 1988, which it won, however Cyprus had to withdraw from the ESC due to the fact that the song had already been performed in the 1984 Cypriot Final. Jimmy Makoulis represented Austria in 1961.
