Nathan is due to get married to girlfriend Kelly Winters on April the 8th. Kelly is sister to Cherie, who is dating team-mate Craig McMillan.
Nathan used to flat with Stephen Fleming, fellow team-mate and Captain, in Christchurch
He attended Shirley Boy's High School, the same high school as Craig McMillan.
He likes a field in cover and mid-off, although now can be most likely seen standing beside Stephen Fleming in the slips cordon.
His favourite ground to play on is Jade Stadium, which of course is his home ground.
He weighs 80kg, and is 178cm tall
His other sports include Soccer and table tennis.
Nathe's biggest influence is his father.
Nathan dislikes snobs, and likes the beaches. His favourite food is medium steak, and favourite drink is Bourbon and coke.
Nathan Astle was named the 1999 Air New Zealand Player of the Year, and also was rewarded with the Walter Hadlee Trophy for his one-day success.
