Paying Your eBay Seller Fees

At the time of registration your account is automatically assigned a billing cycle. This billing cycle pre-determines your invoicing date as well as your payment due date. This date is referred to as your Billing Cycle Date and is clearly displayed at the top of your account status page. This date will also appear on your invoice as your Invoice Date. Please check your account status to verify your Billing Cycle Date.
You will normally be invoiced within five days of your Billing Cycle Date via email. This invoice will include your previous month's account activity as well as any past due amounts.

In order to list your first item, please select one of two ways to pay eBay fees:

There are four ways to pay eBay fees:
PayPal: You may make a one-time payment using your PayPal account.
eBay Direct Pay: The easiest and most convenient way to make payment on your eBay account. Simply provide eBay with your checking account number and bank routing number, and eBay will automatically deduct your monthly invoice amount from your account. Once you sign for eBay Direct Pay, your bank account will be debited on a fixed day of the month dependent on your billing cycle. This option is only available to users billed in U.S. dollars with bank accounts in the United States.
Note:
The date your payment is deducted from your checking account depends on your invoice date. If your current invoice date is the 15th of each month, your monthly invoice amount will be deducted from your checking account on the 5th of the next month. If the 5th falls on a weekend or holiday, your payment will be deducted the first business day after the 5th.

If you are invoiced on the last day of each month, your payment will be deducted from your checking account on the 20th of the next month, or the first business day after the 20th.

Credit Card on File: You can place your credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card) on your eBay account for regular monthly payments. Each month eBay will automatically charge your invoice amount directly to your credit card on file. Your credit card will normally be charged 7 to 10 days after receipt of your invoice.
Note:
For security purposes, our system automatically removes credit card information from an account when there is a problem or the card expires. To update or change your credit card information simply follow the instructions above to place your credit card on your account.

A secure browser is required to enter your credit card. If the browser you are currently using is not secure you may want to consider downloading either Netscape or Microsoft Internet Explorer, which will meet this requirement.

Check and money order payments take 7 to 10 business days to process and post to your account. Please remember that this does not include weekends and holidays.

Invoices are normally generated the first week of each month and distributed via email. Sellers with credit cards on file will have their card charged 7 to 10 days after invoicing. Any negative balance at the time of invoicing will result in a charge to your credit card.

If you placed your card on file for unlimited listing privileges but intend to pay by check, it is necessary for you to monitor your account status and submit payment for the outstanding balance or greater before the 20th of each month, prior to month-end invoicing. Remember, any negative balance at the time of invoicing will result in a charge to your credit card.
Check and Money Order Payment: When making payment by check and/or money order you must submit a payment coupon along with your check/money order and mail it to the address on the form.

You may request and print a payment coupon here.
eBay requires payment in full each month on accounts with a balance of $1.00 or greater.

Failure to Make Payment on Your eBay Account

eBay requires payment in full each month on accounts with balances of $1.00 or greater. You will be billed a monthly finance charge of 1.5% or the highest amount permitted by applicable law—whichever is lower—if your account becomes past due.
