| Space and concept receive equal gravity in the light hearted works of Nadia Russ. Keying on projected divisions of subconscious content, she invests a sweeping flow of line and wit into a stylishly considered election of colors. Born in Ukranian town of Konotop, Nadia Russ began painting seriously during the Perestroika era while working as a journalist and music teacher. She illustrated her own book of humorous stories in 1994 and exhibited at Tri Doma, Souz Tvortchestvo and other galleries of Moscow before moving to the Bahamas in 1996.
