Nadia Russ

As light-spirited and shrewd as some of her punning titles, the ocularly brazen paintings of Nadia Russ thrust their images into evidence and present their strategies to a ponderance already disarmed by charm. Wry, sexy and uplifting, a breath of contemporary life stirs in their buoyant tonalities and exotic themes.

Born in the Ukraine, Russ moved to Moscow and began painting seriously during the Russian
Perestroika period. She is curently a resident of the Bahamas, where she exhibited her work at Art Gallery Club 13 (Xanadu Hotel). Russ has also shown in Russia and the United States and was a featured artist at nowCulture online magazine.

"...Bold and playful, the art of Nadia Russ rises above the global boundaries, restrictions and dimensions of art as we presume to know it and in its quest, arrives at pure fun."
