About Me

I am currently finishing up my MA in the applied program in Child Development, which I have been working on part-time for the past 4-5 years. Two years ago, I did my internship at the Children's Science Discovery Museum in Acton, MA where I now continue to work as an educator. My previous background prior to coming to the child development field was in computer science. After getting my BA in computer science from Northeastern University, I worked as a software engineer for about 10 years. After my older daughter was born, I left the computer field to stay home with her and naturally became interested in children. This inspired me to apply to the Tufts program in child development. Although I don't plan to be a teacher in schools, I am very interested in math, science and technology education and therefore my interest in the class, Curricula for Young Children: Math, Science, Technology.
