WELCOME TO CTK's MUSIC ROOM
The music program at Christ  the King is headed by Michael Snyder.

Mr. Snyder was born and raised in the Philadelphia area. He started playing
drums at the page of 5 -  inspired by his father who taught him percussion that was based on Latin American rhythms. He then played drums in various bands through elementary and high school, where her performed in local dance halls and nightclubs. In his early 20's he toured the US and Canada extensively for 10 years in support of the international recording act The A's. He attended Bucks County Community College and the University of the Arts from 1989 - 1994, where he majored in Music Theory and Composition as well as piano and guitar.

Music Class at Christ the King consists mostly of appreciation of various types of music through audio/visual aids and demonstration, and through performances where the only requirement is an open mind. Michael is also director of the children's choir at Christ the King and looks forward to introducing various styles in the liturgy, including Gregorian Chant.

When he is not teaching at Christ the King, you will usually find him at home with his piano, rehearsing with his band or in a recording studio with some of the finest musicians on the East Coast. You could say that music is his life sentence, but his favorite role is that of being a father to his daughter Erika-lynn.
