Jellicle Voices

Yookoso, mina-san! Gus and I just switched into our Japanese ensemble in order to bring you the voices of Jellicles from around the world. Here you will find sounds from France, Japan, America and even Germany! Now, Idiosylph has done her best to translate the lyrics that you are about to hear, but she doesn't know many of the languages. If there is a mistranslation, she would love to have the correct one. Also, we love to hear more about our Jellicle cousins from around the world, so anyone who has clips that we don't, we'd love to host them for you!
Can you find your way blind when you're lost in the street?"
Sillabub from France

And if someone should buy him a toothfull of gin, he will tell how he once played a part in "East Lynne."
Jellylorum from Germany

Oh! Well! I never, was there ever a cat so clever as Magical Mister Mistoffelees?
Tugger and the others from Germany

Abracadabra! Was there ever a cat so wonderful as Magical Mister Mistoffelees?
Origional German cast

And the family would say "It's that horrible beast!"
Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer from Germany

I have a Gumbie Cat in mind, her name is Jenny Fleckenfell. Her coat is of the tabby kind, with tiger stripes and leopard spots. All day she sits beneith the stairs, on the steps or on the mat. She sits and sits and sits and sits, and that's what makes a Gumbie Cat. That's what makes a Gumbie Cat!
Munkustrap from Germany - Recognize the voice? It's John Partridge! The video Tugger!

... And bright!
Pouncival from the CATS video

He's a fiend in feline shape, a monster of depravity. You may meet him in a bystreet, you may see him in a square...
Bombalurina from Broadway - your favorite and mine... Marline Daniele!

Where you there when the pharaohs commissioned the sphinx?
Tantomile from Japan, where she and Cassandra have switched places

These next few are in Russian, of all languages, so Idio didn't even attempt to translate them! We'll tell you what song they're from, but the rest is going to be up to you! I'm not sure if this is from the actual performance that was in Russia (they were only there for 10 days), since the vast majority of the singing is done by females, with males only in the background. This may be some sort of chior group.
