According to the 1920 Federal New Jersey census he emigrated to the United
States from Jugo Slovak. He filed his "first papers" in 1906. In the 1920
census, he lived in Cranford, Union County, New Jersey on New Street. He
worked as a mason, brick layer. He was a worker, not a foreman. Both his
mother and father were from Yugoslavia, and spoke German. Born Carl Justh.
Could have been spelt, Karl, this is the German spelling for Carl. Port of
entry could have been Ellis Island. His name was changed from Carl to
Charles because it did not "sound" american enough.Notes for THEREZIA TOMSITZ:
In the 1920 census her name is spelt Thresia. In the same census, her and
her husband, Charles Just(h) and daughter, Thresia lived in Cranford,
Union County, New Jersey, New Street. She emigrated to the United States
from Hungry. She filed her "first papers" in 1906, the same as her husband,
this was on the index card. On the full census, it had her as arriving in the
States in 1912 and in the 1920 census as still being an alien. According to
this she did not file her "first papers". Up until 1922, a wife could fall

New Jersey; d. February 04, 1997, Lakeland Health Care Center in Haskell,

d. March 13, 1961 in Branchburg, Somerset County, New Jersey. Theresa and
Edward were married July 25, 1935 in Maryland.
