Mecha: General Data

Mecha: Various types. Most common are based on the humanoid form, but also some specialties based on animal forms, including aquatic and airial froms of life. Some may even be based on fighter class or tank class vehicles. Of course, the human types are the most versitile, which is why they're the most common. There are rare types that are more powerful though. These will most commonly be awwarded during story scenarios.

Mecha have various Hardpoints (Hps) (positions to add different weapon types) as well as enhancement module positions. Mecha also have a maximum weight allowance. Once you reach this, you cannot add more weapons or whatnot even if you have free slots to do so. Mecha tend to be of four basic types, speed types, stong types, ballanced types, and armored types. Speed types concentrate on being light and able to dodge attacks, they also tend to have a higher level of Drive + enhancement which makes up for their general lack of armor and weapon options. Strong types tend to be designed to carry more weapons and be more capable of duking it out melee. Armored types heave heavier armor and more HP than other types, but are less likely to carry a wide weapon variety...they do tend to be able to carry more armor and shield systems, however. Ballanced types are just that, striking a ballance between speed, defense, and attack.

Enhancement modules are additions that can be easily added and exchanged to a mecha, although not during battles, these are easier to switch out than any other options. They can do anything from defending against certain types of attacks to increasing the attack, armor, speed, or just about anything else of the mecha. Most weaker mecha only have one or two slots for these, but the more cutting edge and more powerful ones have as many as ten slots. The downside of enhancement modules is that they're not exactly easy to come by, anything beyond the basic ones aren't sold in shops and many are story awards instead.
