Another picture of central Vence.  The church in the background was extremely old (of course).  It had two latin-enscribed tablets on either side of the front door that date back to something like 100 A.D.  There was also some artwork by Chagall inside.
On another day, we travelled to the countryside villages of Provence and the Alpes-Maritimes.  This is a market in the village of Vence.
April in a neighboring town, St. Paul de Vence.
St. Paul de Vence.  Alot of this little villages are fortresses up on a hill...called villages perche.
Mike in Vence.
April and Mike in another perched village, Eze.  This is at the very peak of Eze, on a fortified lookout first built by the Phoenicians believe it or not.
Typical entry way in St. Paul de Vence.
The church in Eze.
On yet another of our day journeys we travelled to Monaco.  This is Mike and April outside the casino at Monte Carlo.
Mike strolling along the waterfront in the town of Villefranche, near Nice.  The quintessential old town riviera scene.
Mike has some too.
A statue near the royal palace in Monaco.
April sipping on a cappuccino at the Cafe de Paris with the casino in the background.
A view of Monaco.
The casino again.  Notice the Ferrari parked out front.
