Soil and groundwater contaminated by motor oil and diesel oil were delineated around two filling stations. Based on the authorised environmental action plan MEGATERRA excavated the soil contaminated above the limit (1.000 mg/kg TPH), formed biopads and stimulated the indigenous oil eating microbes. After two years target hydrocarbon level was reached.

Ground water clean-up was carried out with 3 production wells, active carbon filtering technique and injection trench. Starting oil concentration was: 3-5 mg/dm3. After 2 year long treatment period with 40 m3/day extraction rate target hydrocarbon level (0,6 mg/dm3) was reached.
