HENRY FORD MUSEUM

Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village is a MUST place to visit if you have a chance to visit Detroit, "Automotive capital of the world".

Documenting nearly 3 centuries of technological and cultural change, the museum's collections encompass, communications, transportation, industry, agriculture and domestic life. "The Automobile in American Life" exhibition illustrates the impact of the automobile on 20th-century America, while "Made in america" explores the history of US industry.

Also on exhibit are a folding camp bed used by George Washington during the Revolutionary War and the Victorian rocking chair that Abraham Lincoln was sitting in at Ford's Theatre when he was assasinated.
