Tangy Pumpkin Soup

ingredients

1 (4oz) can diced green chile peppers
1/4 cup plain yogurt
1 (15oz) can pumpkin
1 (14oz) can chicken broth
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

 

directions

  • In a blender, puree green chiles & yogurt until well blended. Set aside. In a medium sauce pan, over medium heat, combine pumpkin, broth and water. Season with chili powder, garlic powder and hot sauce. Stir in green mixture.

  • Bring to a boil, the reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes.
