story - A Horrible Day

   The day started out as a regular hot and humid summer day in June of 2001. It was a quiet day; all you could hear were the trees dancing around with the wind. But that day was about to change. An event was about to happen that shock many people, especially me!
   We were coming from church when my family and I noticed the weather changing rapidly fast. From a magnificent, light blue sky, to a dark, scary, evil sky. The clouds hiding the sun like huge dark curtains. Lightning was constantly falling from the clouds to the ground like leaves tumble from a tree in the fall. Soon it had started raining.
   As soon as we got home, I went to the balcony to get a better look of what was going on. I felt scarred and concerned with what was going on. As I look up to the sky, I see a neighbor also looking at the sky, on a telephone looking very alarmed. I finally have my eyes glued to the clouds like a bird to a feather, they stacked together. I see the clouds dancing round and round like ballerinas and coming down very rapidly. Soon, rain started falling down from the sky as hard as it could. I turn on the TV trying to find out if there was a real danger. As I try to go and reach to turn on the television, I hear this incredible loud noise from the ceiling as if a herd of elephants we running around upstairs. I look out the window and I see little white rocks on the ground. Hail had started coming down from the sky, falling down at the speed of light, destroying car windows and trees. It was a very scary time.
   Thankfully, after a while, the stormed had passed and fortunately there we no major damages. I later read on the papers that there was a tornado very near us, but thank God it didn’t come too close to us.
