We finally arrived in Taipei, Taiwan and the first thing I noticed when we were landing was that there was a lot of lights on the water that did not seem to have any relation with the airplane. I later found out that this was some sort of squid trap to capture squid or something or so I am told. I was in a huge rush to get out of the plane out of the really long flight of 10 hours that I accidently left my Ipod in the seat, argh. Fook that shit anyway, I'll get a video Ipod instead.

I went to the bathroom and found a friend.

When I stepped outside the gate of the plane the first thing that hit my head was that I was in a whole other country and that I could not read a single word that's written on signs anywhere. This scared me as it made it really difficult to get around. I then dig into my luggage for my uncle's cell number. Sure enough I get it but then I get to the payphone which was really weird. Most of them were "credit card" pay phones. You swipe your card on the side and then I guess it charges you. So I tried that and it was stuck in a state of "Connecting..." I guess it was trying to call my bank in New York. I waited for a bit and gave up. So I ran over to the Currency Exchange dude and told him that I'm from America and that I didn't know how to use the phone. I showed him the printout of the e-mail my uncle sent me and then he told me which number to dial and exchange my fancy US cash for the Taiwanese currency. I never did think that I would one day run into that situation. It almost felt like an arcade. I'll just turn this fabulous cash into tokens! I finally make the call and I find out that my uncle has been waiting for me. It took me a while to find the exit since everything is in chinese and the english instructions were little off. Anyway so I ended going through the customs or something and all they really did was check my passport and I had to fill out some document. That's it so I went downstairs and met up with my uncle Gary, aunt Louise, cousins Rexx and Anita. This might sound kind of weird but wow Anita looked really pretty. She was very quiet and didn't speak to me at all but since me and Rexx met up last summer we were chatting up a storm along with his parents. We had some really good conversations and I really enjoy spending time with them.

Since cousin Anita came home, they didn't really have room for me to stay at their home so they had me stay at my eldest aunt's house in Keelung, my dad's hometown.

When I got to my aunt's place I did some research via Wikipedia on Keelung, heres what I found:
