| Now there'd been some rumours that Spike and Lee had not been getting along well with their third band member, Jimmy so it came as no surprise that he didnt arrive with them but pulled up a while later in another people carrier. Becky had a little chat with him and got a photo and I didnt want to interrupt but I was starting to think she'd forgot about me and I wouldnt get the chance to meet or have a photo with Jimmy so I decided to make myself known by loudly clearing my throat. It worked and Becky laughed and lifted me up to introduce me and ask if I could have a photo. Jimmy looked at me, sighed and commented, "the things i've done in my life!" Not sure what he meant by that but I got a photo and then we went off to enjoy the show!! |

| Becky had told me many times about top 90's boyband 911. She had played me all their albums and their Greatest Hits and a Little Bit More' album had fast become one of my faves! But what had become of them since they apparently split up following the release of the single 'Wonderland' and their greatest hits?! Well it turned out that the band had fell on hard times which was bad news for them but not for all us fans cos they had decided to get back together for a tour to raise some more cash!! So Becky got tickets to go and see them in November 2001 and I got to go along with her and meet the band outside the concert hall before the show!! |
| I was so excited at getting a chance to see the pop legends live and to meet them. Becky and I waited patiently outsied the venue when a people carrier pulled up and out jumped Spike and Lee!! I approached them both and told them how Becky had introduced me to their fabulous brand of pop and how I was sad I wasn't around to witness their success first time around but was making up for it now! They thanked me for my kind words and I asked if they'd like to have a photo with me. This was, of course a silly question! Of course they wanted a photo with me! So Spike went first and then it was Lee's turn! After that I wished them luck for the show and bid them a fond farewell! |
