Discovery Place - Weather |
On January 13th we were fortunate enough to have a field trip come to us, The Discovery Place Weahter Station. Several stations were set up for the students to explore the weather and the way it effects our environment. |

At one of the stations the boys and girls became the wind using their breath to move the balloons. |

At another area a blow dryer represented the wind at different speeds. At the highest speed the students could balance a ping, pong ball. |

We also had the chance to see heat and its effects, even the heat from our own bodies. |

A temperature station at one table let the boys and girls use the skills we had learned in the classroom to read a thermometer. |
