This will be my fourth
year teaching English at Fairmont High.  Though I'm not a Robeson County native, I have been lurking around the area for the past eight years.  (That odd accent you may detect is central Missouri.)   I graduated with highest honors from Appalachian State with a degree in English Education, and am presently pursuing my certification in Spanish at UNC-Pembroke.

I teach because teenagers and their potential just plain excite me, keep me going.  I teach English because I believe all of us, teenagers and adults alike, need communication.  I see reading and writing as a way for people to communicate with each other and with themselves, a way to make our lives better through understanding.
