Car Cruise and Show Pictures
The following pictures are from various car shows and cruises that we have been to and participated in.  Some pictures are just miscellaneous pictures that I did not know where else to put them...  I group the shows by the color of the captions, in case you wondered.
This is a good shot of our three 'Birds (at the time) from the All Firebird and Trans Am show at Wright Pontiac in Wexford, PA.  This was September 10, 2000.  We were early - many more cars (and people) attended.
Obviously a little later.  Hoods are up on the Ram Air and TTA.  The '87 is just a 2.8L V6, not show condition, so she stays buttoned up...  More people and cars have arrived.  That is Dave walking to the right.
Again, same show.  That is Mrs. Ram Air behind the TTA, looks like she is getting a beer out!  If you look in the upper left-hand corner, you will see a red second generation Trans Am.  That is the one we just bought in September, 2001!  Pretty cool that we were at a show with it a year before and got it on film.  We did not realize it until a week after we bought her!
On our street after the show above.  They had to wait for me to get home - the Ram Air gets one of the garage spaces!
The Ram Air and the TTA at the Seven Points Marina at Lake Raystown, summer of 2001.
The Memorial Run in Bensalem, PA.  It is put on by the Trans Am Club of America.  We did not bring out Ram Air as the weather was really bad on the travel days.  This is a great shot of the 10th, 20th and 30th Anniversary Trans Ams.  The 10th is the silver 1979, the 20th is the 1989 TTA, and the 30th is on the end.
From the same show in Bensalem.  This is the first CompTA I saw in person.  I believe they only made about 185 of these over three years.  It was a Pontiac/SLP car, similar to the Firehawk, but with better tires!
This was a car show in October, 2001 at Northway Christian Church in Wexford, PA.  It was a little cold, but a nice day!  I had the privilege of parking next to this dark red '68 Firebird.  What a nice car!  We had our own little "Pontiac Row, as you will see below.  There was a '79 10th Anniversary TA, a GTO, the  '68 'Bird and me.
The same, but from the rear.  You can see about half of the GTO as well.
The '79 10th Anniversary Trans Am.  Note how "congested" the engine compartment is compared to mine (below).  Note the wing tips on the fender of this car.  The Screaming Chicken was larger on the 10th Anniversary than any other ever made.
My engine compartment.  Dave painted the inside sheetmetal charcoal grey metallic.  This does not show grime as much as the red, sets off the compartment and being metallic, really gleams!  No air hose, either.  Functional shaker hood and welded air box made it unneccessary, so it was removed.
This is a great shot of the 10th Anniversary and the GTO.  This is my favorite style of GTO.  I know that many GTO purists will disagree, but these are what I remember most whole growing up.  I started driving in 1980, and several people at high school had this style.
This is my friend John's 25th Anniversary Trans Am.  He just bought it in 2001.  He used to have a silver '79 TA, but he had tweaked it as much as he could and wanted something faster.  This will surely fit the bill.  He plans on supercharging it (against my protest - it is an Anniversary Edition and should stay mostly stock!).
Please check back here periodically when Show Season is in.  This is where show and miscellaneous photos will appear.  Thanks!
