The homeopathic preparation of the flowering chamomile plant, chamomilla, is a highly prized homeopathic remedy, partiularly for the treatment of excruciating pain.



Prescribed for menstrual cramps, asthma, pain or other complaints excerbated by anger, diarrhea, gallstones, toothache, cystitis and middle~ear infections.

MOOD

** Stubbornness, excitability, irascibility and rash behavior.

TEETH & FACE

** throbbing pains, particularly in the lower jaw, which intensify at night.

DIGESTION

** indigestion or upset stomach that is brought on or aggravated by anger
** painful flatulence
** frequent belching
** shooting pains in the pit of the stomach
** constipation; soreness in the anal region
** acute nausea after drinking coffee
** sweating in response to eating.


TORSO & EXTREMITIES

** hot sensations in the feet
** numb hands when holding objects
** sciata or lower back pain that does not respond to the application of cold or heat
** pain or weakness in the joints
** painful muscle cramps
** a feeling of heaviness in the legs


PREPARATION OF THE REMEDY

Chamomilla is extracted from the whole fresh chamomile plant. Native to Europe, this herb is grown throughout the world; more than 4,000 tons of chamomile are produced annually. Chamomilla, also know by the abbreviation Cham, is available in most health-food stores
