CD Reviews:

Newsboys - Going Public

This CD is the first Newsboys CD I purchased. This CD has the amazingly famous Christian Rock Song called "Shine". This song is perhaps the song that made the Newsboys famous. This is a very unique and catchy song. "Truth and Consequences" is also a very upbeat song on this album. The album also has a very amazing worship song called "Be Still", which has beautiful lyrics. The next song that caught my attention is the song "When You Called My Name". The song starts out quite humorous but turns into a soft praise song. This album is a good way to get a taste of what the Newsboys are all about.

My Rating - A must buy! The Newsboys never cease to amaze me. You won't be sorry if you buy this one.

Newsboys - Take Me To Your Leader

This studio release from the Newsboys really brings out their instrumental power. The album starts out with heavy guitars in the song "God Is Not A Secret". Just when you thought their next song would be slow, it takes you to "Take Me To Your Leader". This song is also heavy instrumentally and try to understand what Peter Furler (lead singer) is saying in the lyrics. Definitely need the lyrics to this one to understand what he is saying. The song is very catchy anyways and remains one of my favorite. "Reality" is another cool song on the album. The lyrics are funny but the song has a great chorus. After "Reality" you are taken to a whole new way to think of breakfast when you hear "Breakfast". You can't imagine how popular this song is. I've never seen a crowd of fans bring Captain Crunch cereal boxes to any other concert before. The album ends in the amazing benediction "Breathe". This album is a great one to own. It is one of my favorite Newsboys Cd's.

My Rating - This is a good one to buy. If you like semi-heavy guitars buy this one!

Newsboys - Step Up To the Microphone

This one is just plain awesome!! I am not joking. I saw them in concert when they were promoting this CD. Just plain amazing. I won't even go and describe which songs are my favorites on this one, because they are all so good. This one is a must have for anyone that is even thinking about buying a Christian rock music CD.

My Rating - GO GET IT NOW! I LOVE IT!

Newsboys - Love, Liberty, Disco

Christian Rock Music in the form of disco? Yep! You have to hear it to believe it. The album starts with "Beautiful Sound" which does a great job of describing the song. This one is one of my favorite songs from the Newsboys. The next song launches you into the power of modern disco, and I just think it is the coolest. The song is called "Love, Liberty, Disco". The next song is a beautiful song that has a slow rock beat. The song is called "Forever Man". Then you are put back into the disco sounding music with the amazing tune "Say You Need Love". One of my favorites!!! The last two songs - "I Surrender All" and "Fall On You" are amazing praise songs and great finishes to another solid Newsboys album.

My Rating - If you are interested in loving Christian Rock Music and are curious about the return of a little disco from a solid band - CHECK THIS ONE OUT!

Newsboys - Shine: The Hits

Interested in an awesome mixture of the Newsboys greatest hits? This album is solid through start to finish, highlighting the musical talent of the Newsboys through their albums and includes 3 or 4 new songs. I've highlighted a lot of the songs included on this album above. This album is a great one to have if you don't want to buy a bunch of the Newsboys Cd's to get interested. Buy this one and you will have a great sampling of their greatest hits.

My Rating - An Awesome CD from beginning to end. A must have in my opinion. Get this one and enjoy the best of one of the best out there.
