Listening to music on the radio, sometimes I can't help but be concerned about lyrics
that the songs are made up of. They usually have something to do with drugs, alcohol, sex,
violence, etc. This music often contains language that personally, I don't find entertaining
in music. Should our children really be listening to this? Should we have to be surrounded
by this in our society? We know it happens, do we have to advertise it on the radio through
these songs instead of doing something about it?
What am I getting at? Christian Music teaches about God, faith, love, hope, friends,
patience, time, and life in general. Christian music artists are role models to many people,
because their music is inspiration; their words hope and joy. Their message has been told for
centuries through the Bible and through the teachings of the church. I love Christian Rock
Music because I love rock n' roll with the emphasis on God and the church. Their music is my
getaway from the troubles and bad things in life. Their music helps me relax and know that
everything will be okay. It emphasizes to me the greatness of God's wonders, God's love, God's
peace. It helps me to find my place in this world. It gives me hope and I give thanks for
such beautiful words.
