In almost all science texts, you will find multiple references to evolution. These may include 'Millions of years ago,' 'Apes started out dumb and slowly became modern humans,' or maybe reference was made to the 'Pangea' theory. Whereas there is no law against believing in evolution opposed to creation, there are laws against discrimination against anything of equal value and validity in any publicly funded institution. According to Webster's dictionary, indoctrinate means "to imbue with a usu. partisan or sectarian opinion, point of view, or principle. By only presenting one point of view in regard to creation, the government is indoctrinating America's youth. Is this something that we, as students, parents, or future parents let happen? How far is the government going to try to get into our lives, and how far are we going to let it? With this paper, I hope to prove that the theory of evolution is non-scientific and can be compared to a modern day, atheistic religion.
