Mount Democrat (14,148 ft.)
Climbed: September 1995
Mount Democrat is 1.5 miles west of the collective massif of Lincoln, Cameron and Bross.  Democrat is a singular mountain and has its own unique personality.  Although lower than Lincoln, Cameron and Bross, Democrat provides the most interesting mountaineering routes on these peaks.  (Colorado's Fourteeners From Hikes to Climbs, Gerry Roach.)

Democrat was the first summit I climbed this day.  Start at Kite Lake and climb Democrat, descend to the saddle between Democrat and Lincoln, climb Lincoln, descend to the saddle between Lincoln and Bross, climb Bross and then descend down the scree slope on Bross back to Kite Lake.  I will probably do this route again soon.  Bagging three fourteeners in one trip is very fun and satisfying.
