Mount Bross (14,172 ft.)
Climbed:  September 1995
This rotund peak challenges photographers to make it look dramatic, and people intent on checking peaks off a list love the return on investment Bross gives them.  Bross' flat summit is a perfect place for lounging on a clear day.  Bross is sometimes jokingly called the "Auguille du Bross."  "Gerry Roach, Colorado's Fourteeners From Hikes to Climbs"

I climbed Mount Bross as the third of three summits that day in September 1995.  I started from Kite Lake and climbed Mount Democrat, left Democrat to the summit of Mount Lincoln, from Lincoln to the summit of Bross.  The total time it took me from leaving my truck to returning to my truck was 5 hours and 15 minutes.  I encountered bad weather while on Bross so I couldn't spend much time on the summit.  Bross, to this day has the most enjoyable decent of all the fourteeners I have done so far.  I went down a scree slope for about 1500 ft. this slope was very steep and nothing but gravel (I show a picture of it from the Mount Democrat page) and when you take one step you actually go down two steps.  I had to empty my boots a few times coming down this slope.
