Mountain Air is a spacious, three story home located
in Bear Paw, a gorgeous, gated resort community nestled in the Smokey Mountains
of Western North Carolina, next to Lake Hiwassee. Perfectly situated,
Bear Paw is two to three hours from Knoxville, Atlanta, Chattanooga, and
Asheville, offering convenient access via major highways as well as picturesque
mountain roads.
The surrounding area provides every amenity for
those intrigued by spending a week or two, or even a few days in “God’s
Country.” Activities on site or nearby include: hiking, rock climbing,
biking, golf, tennis, basketball, fishing, hunting, horseback riding,
swimming, boating, sailing, water-skiing, white-water rafting (lots of
that, on the Ocoee and Nantahala Rivers), and, of course, just plain sight-seeing.
Also be sure to take a tour of the Hiwassee Dam, located across the street
(literally!) from Bear Paw, and if you have a yen for flea markets and
local historical lore, the flourishing town of Murphy is just a half an
hour away. There you’ll find everything you need, in case you’ve forgotten
something, a huge super Walmart off of I-64, for instance, several restaurants,
and a quaint town if you like to explore small shops.
Rates for Mountain Air are: $125 per night, $700
per week. A $100 dollar deposit (nonrefundable) is due at time of reservation
and the full amount is due two weeks before occupancy. There is a three
night minimum stay; monthly rates may be discussed. Mountain Air is available
year round. Although linens and dish
towels are provided, you should bring your own beach towels. Finally, to
keep this home beautiful, we ask that those who enjoy it not to smoke or
bring pets.
