Legal Crap.
It is my personal hope that anyone I know, or any stray web surfer that lands in this backwater site on the web and has a look around, may find something new here that interests them. Anyone who does stay to nose around in all likelihood has some similar interests and it is impossible to share things without the use of copyrighted or trademarked material, asides from in the form of text... lets face it... NO ONE is going to read through a web site composed completely of text unless they are studying for an exam. So there are images here that quite frankly do not belong to me- but they aren't here for me to make money from. They are here for me to enjoy, talk about and inform others about... this is just a second rate website buried in a mountain composed of tens of thousands of other second-rate web sites. So please don't sue me... I don't have any money anyway.
17 U.S.C. 107 (1988 & Supp. IV 1993). Section 107 provides in part:
Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 106 and 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phono-records or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright. In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include:
(1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes; (2) the nature of the copyrighted work; (3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and (4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
The
fact that a work is unpublished shall not itself bar a finding of fair use if
such finding is made upon consideration of all the above factors.
