Simcoe decided the on the life of a performer after watching a KISS concert when he but a wee lad, and by the time he was 12 he and his mates had formed their own band. The band was called (very originally) 'Kiss 2' and would hold performances in front of their own school to a crowd of cheering school-kids and probably confused and amused teachers. Simcoe continued the path of performance and earned an MFA in drama from NIDA (National Institute for Dramatic Arts) in Sydney specializing in actor training. He has a slew of acting credits on both the stage and TV and -at least before Farscape- would lecture on acting to universities both in Europe and Australia, even lecturing at the university where Gigi Edgley was attending.
