OOC NOTES:

Though this room is part of the White Wolf™ World of Darkness Chronicle on AOL known as Mortality Mocked, it is still a public member room; all are welcome to play here.   We will be using 3rd Edition WtA Systems for Gifts, etc.  Keep in mind, if you wish to engage in any sort of conflicts with other players or venture beyond the publically accessible areas of the park (all other remote areas of the park will take place in Private Rooms), your character must be approved by this chronicle's storytellers.  Mortality Mocked is presently accepting only Rank 1 (cliath) Garou and cubs; Kinfolk are also being accepted.

Garou -

Throughout the area, lupus garou will find fresh scents of territory markings; the perimeter of the claimed land is patrolled regularly.  Based on the number of successes gained in a Perception + Primal-Urge roll, you may know the following:

2 successes = at least three other lupus occupy the land and consider it their territory
3 + successes = there is at least two females, and three males.

They may be part of a pack, but it doesn't appear that there is a clearly defined social order yet.  Please note that without the gift, "Scent of the True Form," you will not know for certain if these wolves are garou, no matter how many successes you get on your Perception + Primal Urge roll.

All forms of shifters will quite likely notice that several trees have glyphs carved on them; you may roll Perception + Alertness at a difficulty of 6 to notice them if you're uncertain.  Non-Shifter character types may notice them, but without Garou Lore or a successful Intelligence + Occult roll, these types of characters aren't likely to know what they are.  As characters become aware of the glyphs on the trees near the trails, they may notice the following mark:   ("Gaia," for those characters which know the glyphs of the garou).  If you should venture off the marked trails, you will see the three glyphs above (below the welcome logo - "Glory, Honor," and "Wisdom"), along with the occasional:  ("Wyld").  This is the land of Gaia's warriors.  Wyrm characters should tread lightly, if they dare walk here at all.

Anyone interested in playing is encouraged to submit a character to MM CS ST.  Starting stats only (no bonuses, no exceptions), all Merits, Flaws, and backgrounds subject to ST approval.

Vampire Players -

Times of day or night vary pretty much in accordance with "real time" in California (you can find out what time it is from the weather sticker above); because this a room constructed more with the Garou in mind, it won't be eternally dark here.  Kindred sleep during the day so that other genres can have some time to "relax" their guards a bit.

Should Kindred venture here at night, however, they will find many places within this park beyond the main area by the parking lots are extremely uncomfortable (due to regular Rites of Cleansing performed in the area).  All kindred players should acknowlege this in RP -- it is also worthy of note that vampires with lower path/humanity ratings will be more strongly affected.

Mage Players -

Mage players, please keep in mind -- Garou do not generally like your sort of character much, especially if there is a caern within a hundred miles of you.  If it seems our garou characters are being overly suspicious (paranoid) if they realize what you are (Scent of the True Form, diff 9 can tell us what you are) or if our characters are downright rude, it's not that we're trying to be mean to you OOC, and it's not that we don't want to play with you.  Please do not take offense OOC to what may transpire IC.  It doesn't matter if you're kinfolk nor if you're a Dreamspeaker... chances are, the garou will do their best to keep you from wanting to hang around.  :)
