THE DREAM

I had a dream, it broke my heart
A dream of a love that was gone
I feared my world was torn apart
No more happiness, no more fun
Someone I loved was taken from me
I drempt you were taken as well
I closed my eyes so I could not see
I ran away, I stumbled and fell
Without you in my life, I have no cause
To continue, to attempt to carry on
After a moment I had to pause
Feeling the warmth of the dawn
I opened my eyes, afraid of what I might see
I turned to look, a noise I heard
You were standing right behind me
A nightmare is so much more than a word
I don't know what I would do
If you ever left my side
Would I be able to live without you
Or would I find a hole so I could hide
