P O E T R Y
SISSY
for Lauri

Looking back I can recall
Many memories from when I was small
Could it be that with passing time
She realizes how she steadied my climb
Holding my hand, leading me on day by day
The caring built up love and trust along the way
Sissy and me in the morning's chill
Can't thank her enough for each simple thrill
Now we are adults, children no more
Too many miles from door to door
A phone call, card or letter can do so much to cheer
To chase away all frowns or fear
I send the love I feel deep inside my heart
It's like we were never apart
