ANGEL TREE CHILDREN

Little paper angels hanging on a tree
Names of boys and girls without presents for Christmas Day
Just a few moments of your time is all it takes
Are you brave enough to join the holiday fray?
Jimmy wants some sneakers, he needs a winter coat
Sarah wants a teddy to snuggle with at night
Daddy's out of work, Mommy's gone away
Only Jesus sees the tears of loneliness and fright
You take for granted all that you have
But there are children who have nothing to share
To them Christmas has no special meaning
You can share the miracle with them if you dare
Have we forgotten how to love our fellow man
Heaven forbid, sweet Jesus, tell me it isn't so
You were born as a baby in Bethlehem so long ago
Remind us about your sacrifice, the greatest gift of all
You paid the price so we could be free
May we find the love and courage from you
To pass on through the angels that hang on the tree
