Pictures below
Day 1 Saturday june 10
When we arrived, we set up our tent but we weren't the only ones...
(click on the picture to count the tents..)
When we were finally finished we went to the festival itself.
There, we met Bush at the Roskilde tent. It was a fantastic gig, I enjoyed it very much.
Day 2 Sunday june 11
Tracy Bonham: Do I need to say more? She's great with the violin, has a great voice and her band is also a succes. Everybody was going mad!!
Krezip had the best performance of Pinkpop. Their enthusiasm was catching. They couldn't believe it that they were so popular.
My sister is dancing on Junkie XL. They make great music, too bad they split up that evening, but the music was good as ever.
Guano Apes had a huge show with illuminated letters and a little woman with a big voice.
The rest of the band was very good too.
Day 3 Monday june 12
Venice is not really a band to dance at, so we just relaxed in the grass, listening to the music.
And to get rid of the hangover...
De Dijk is a Dutch band, and they sing lovely songs about Dutch women, and about daily life.
They are really a partyband, everybody feels happy when they perform.
Pearl-Jam; a few years ago, they performed here and it was a historic performance.
This performance was to be the last one, before the Roskilde drama...
Korn is not really my favourite band, but I must admit that song with bagpipes is really good.
The picture isn't very clear, but at the middle of the stage is the singer/screamer.
Live was fantastic. They swept up the audiance with their music, the atmosphere was absolutely good. Meawhile, I was lying in the grass, enjoying the music.
The final act was Moby. It was a great party. Some fire places made the scene complete. The end was celebrated with fireworks, and that was the end of Pinkpop 2000...
I had never heard of Madrugada. I liked the music, it's a bit dark, like the picture.
Closure at the last day at Northern Platform, or the Roskilde tent, without the Roskilde tent.
It was a great succes, I think more succesful with Kane, than with Anouk, at least, thats my humble opinion. I have to say that it was very cool of Dinand (Kane's leading man) that he said some sweet things to Anouk.
Do you see the girls on the stage? They where allowed to sit upfront, to see it through the eyes of a popstar'. A shame that we couldn't get in front in time, but well, from this side we have a pretty view eh..?
