| ~ Lil' Rustie girl--she's currently napping in the most adorable position--up against the couch on her back with her legs straight up in the air. She's the center of attention in the neighborhood--everyone calls her 'The New Kid On The Block'. Our neighbor with the 2 Vizslas commented on how social she is & her great coloring & bone structure :-) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ~ We are awed at how wonderful little Maggie is. She hasn't had one accident in the house & she has been quiet at night!!!! She is just perfect. Sandy we will be lovin' up this little pup. You did a fabulous job. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ~ Just a quick note to let you know we arrived safe & sound last night. Stella did GREAT! In fact around 8 she decided she needed a nap & walked into her crate & fell asleep. She went down around 11 & woke at 5:15, I think because the birds here woke her up. Anyway, we can't believe how bright she is. She's already retrieving & playing fetch. Thanks for all of your guidance. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ~ We are moving at the end of the month & have been packing. Luca is doing her best to help us. She drops all her toys into whatever box we are packing. It's so sweet & quite funny! I keep telling her she will get her own box, but she must be very concerned about her toys making it to the new house. We're moving to a house with a big fenced in yard. She is going to love it! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ~ Stella took her 1st kayak ride this weekend. She did great- curled up in the cockpit & took a nap- but we forgot the camera. She's also learning to swim. The girl has NO FEAR. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ~ Our little Rustie is a champion packer-- she's had so much fun "helping" wrap things in newspaper...and of course she has to climb in & out of the tupperware to inspect them :-) We've also taken her on several car rides & she's LOVED them. She's so smart--sometimes we joke that she'll soon be outsmarting us! She's the best dog-- we love her! As I'm sure you knew we would. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ~ We love Billie so much & are so excited to have her in our family. Tinley the cat is not a huge fan...they try to stare eachother down. They both stalk eachother, but since Billie can't do stairs, Tinley will perch up & look down at her...for now. A couple of times they'll get nose to nose, then turn around & bolt away...it's a riot!! I think they'll be good friends down the road. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ~ You REALLY did an amazing job with these pups. Rustie has adjusted amazingly well. Some of our friends with dogs have asked about problems with touching paws, touching food while eating, being intimidated by loud noises, etc. And we get to brag that she's PERFECT with all of those things! Everyone that meets her says "Oh I just want to eat her up"! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ~ Tucker has fallen into his own here with our family. He's a big hit riding in the shopping cart through Lowes!! He's been exploring with our neighborhood walks, riding on the ATV...I taped a towel on the tank for traction...on our way home he actually fell asleep between my knees! He's very flexible & not showing fear of any of our introductions. I could just go on & on...like a new Dad. We're having a blast with Tucker & are absolutely elated with the level of awareness & returned love that our new boy has to offer! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ~ Just thought I'd drop you a quick note to give you an update on Miss Dani. She's doing really well. She loves her Bravo food, is sleeping through the night & doing pretty well housetraining. She's walking really well on the leash & we're really enjoying our morning treks. More importantly, she seems very well settled & is very much loved by all of us. She really has become such a fun member of our family. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ~ Riley is just fabulous. She's excited about EVERYTHING: playing ball, grass in the backyard, the kitty, mealtimes, the kids down the street, bikes that whiz by & all the sights & smells of our neighborhood. She's making friends everywhere we take her, human & canine alike. She's a good girl & is responding well to sit, down, no & sometimes come. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ~ All is great on our end, Otto is doing really well & growing fast! He's just adorable & such a character :-) We went away to the Hamptons for a few days last week & he loved it :-) Here's a couple of recent pics....such a handsome boy!!! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ~ Chili had his 1st day of school last night. He did really well. The instructor even commented that I must have been working with him already because of how well he heeled, sat & paid attention. He even had a go at the agility tunnel. He went through on the 1st try. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ~ That pretty pup (Penny) is priceless & will never leave my side!!! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ~ The Vizsla Club of LI had a hunt training day this past wknd. I went with Mr. Chili. They planted a few quail & then we took the dogs out 1 by 1 to see if they had any interest in finding the birds. Chili passed with flying colors. He found 4 birds in about 5 min.! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ~ Just want to give you an update on Ruby. She's doing great!!! We absolutely love her - as my kids say "she is the best"! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ~ Just thought I'd tell you about Mr. Chili's 1st attempt at hunt tests. Chili rocks!! He was awesome, he found 4 birds, stayed rock solid on point, didn't chase at the flush & wasn't fazed by the guns. He was just awesome. I am very proud to be his owner. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
