What We Do

Committees and Sub Clubs

Below is a summary of many committees and activities that MOMS Club of West Marietta, GA., offers to every member. This is really the way to meet other MOMS and find those with whom you have things in common.



	Activities: Fun field trips to area attractions are planned on a monthly rotating basis by the playgroups. Community Service Project: Assists families or children in need in our community. Crafts: Plans a monthly craft for children at each meeting. Email Coordinator: A way for us to quickly communicate with each other. Sends monthly reminders, etc. to membership via email. Helping Hands: Provides support, meals, or errand running to members in need. Hospitality: Welcomes new members and visitors to monthly meetings. Also helps with setting up and cleaning up meeting room. Lunch Bunch or Brunch Bunch: Plans monthly luncheon at someone’s house or at a local restaurant. Sends email to those interested in participating. Membership: Responsible for responding to messages left by prospective members, signing up new members at meetings, etc. Member2Member: Responsible for matching existing member with a new member for purposes of meeting and welcoming them into the club. “Old” member should invite the new member to at least one club function. MOMS Night Out: Our monthly opportunity to go out for a nice dinner with our fellow MOMS. Kids are always welcome to join us at this event, although we've found that most dads are happy to watch the kids for an evening! Parties: Plans safe and fun parties for children of all ages including the Summer Fun, Fall Fest, Winter Blast and Spring Fling. Playgroups: Meet with other MOMS and children for an activity geared towards children. May be held in members’ homes, parks, or anywhere the group would like to meet. Publications: Helps with gathering MOMS Club news, tidbits, items of interest, etc. for the newsletter and produces the directory. Book Club: Meets once a month during the day to discuss books. Speakers: Arranges for presentation by speaker during monthly meetings a few times per year. Seasoned Moms: Provides a chance for moms with older children or those with more than one child to get together and stay active in the club.
