| Do you want to connect with other moms and kids in your neighborhood? |
| The MOMS Club® of Marion, IA is a local support group for mothers who stay at home with their children during the day (including those who work part-time, have home-based businesses, or work the second or third shift). All activities are scheduled during the day - the time when at-home moms need support the most! Your children are always included, because we believe having children shouldn't isolate you. Nursing infants and toddlers are welcome at all MOMS Club® activities. Although some of us have lived here for years and are experienced mothers, many of us are new in town or new to motherhood! We include moms of all incomes. |
| The International MOMS Club® is a non-profit support group for mothers and their children. The International MOMS Club® began in 1983 when Mary James, an at-home mother in California, decided she was tired of being alone at home. She wanted to meet other at-home mothers, and she wanted to find other at-home children with whom her children could play. When she discovered there were no other organizations that met during the day and allowed her to come with her baby and preschooler, she decided to start a brand new organization just for at-home mothers, and the MOMS Club® was born. The chapter she started was so successful that she knew mothers in other areas must need the MOMS Club® too. Soon she and other volunteers were helping mothers start MOMS Clubs across the country and around the world. Today this fast growing international organization has over 2,000+ chapters and more than 100,000 members in the U.S. alone! Local support groups are neighborhood based.
