MOMS Club® of Fort Collins East has a lot to offer, including:

• Monthly Member Meetings with speakers, discussions, and other fun programs.
• Outings for mothers and their children - parks, storytimes, concerts, museums, and casual playdates at member's homes.
• Tours of local businesses/community operations.
• Holiday parties throughout the year including Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter and Summer Picnic. These events usually include activities for a variety of age children, a craft, and munchies and drinks.
• Small Groups - Playgroups for moms and children organized by age.
• Babysitting Coop
• Activity Groups -  We have moms with interests all over the place and clubs within a club include Book Club and BUNCO.
• Family Days - Occasional weekend activities to get the whole family together.
• Service Projects - As part of being a mom within a community we try and perform acts of service to people in need. Last year we had a snack drive for school children at a low-income school, a clothing drive, and visits to an assisted living facility.
• Helping Hands - The moms in our club have come together to provide support to new moms or moms in crisis by providing meals. Our helping hands coordinator maintains an active volunteer list of moms who are willing to provide meals at any given notice. We offer this to every expectant mom, as well as any mom who has a need.
• Moms Night Out (MNO) - One of our most popular activities - a chance for moms to get away with the girls for an evening of fun. Past nights have included dinner and a movie, game nights, manicures, and dessert nights.
• Discussion Board where members can post questions.

Prospective members are invited to attend two Monthly Member Meetings to see if you like the club and its members before joining. The meetings have a guest speaker, we go over any business of the club, review the calendar for the next month, and give moms a chance to talk. Babysitters are provided to help keep an eye on the kids (tips appreciated). Email Toni for date, time, and location of our next meeting.

Membership dues are $20.00 per year to pay for babysitters at the monthly member meeting, snacks, craft supplies, etc. We understand that a woman staying at home raising her children involves a great financial sacrifice, so if the dues are a hardship to your family, please let us know.

After your membership form and dues are received you will receive, on a monthly basis, the newsletter and activity calendar via email. If you do not have email, let us know and the information can be mailed to you.

Once you join there are lots of ways to get more involved with the club. The Monthly Member Meeting is a time for all members to vote on important club decisions. This is your opportunity to find out what is being planned and suggest ideas for future calendar activities. In addition, the Executive Board and Coordinators are all volunteers. If you are interested, we encourage all members to consider a leadership position.

That there is no one right way to raise children, but our members have a common concern in raising their children in a healthful way

MOMS Club® of Fort Collins East is a local support group registered with the International MOMS Club® and its members have agreed to operate their support group in a nonprofit manner in accordance with all national and state laws.

History of MOMS Club®

In 1983, Mary James, an at-home mother in California, decided she was tired of being alone at home. She wanted to meet other at-home mothers and she wanted to find other at-home children for her children to play with. When she discovered there were no other organizations that met during the day and allowed her to come with her baby and preschooler, she decided to start a brand new organization just for at-home mothers, and the MOMS Club® was born.

The chapter she started was so successful, she knew mothers in other areas must be needing the MOMS Club® too. Soon she and other volunteers were helping mothers start MOMS Clubs® across the country!
