Welcome to our family room. Come on in!! I won't apologize for the lived in look *L* This is a home, not a museum!! Most of my doo dads have been super glued a few times and instead of stenciling my walls, they display various works of art by my 2 year old!! Just step over the toys *L* Sutton claims most of the floor!! Shhhh!! If you would, please use your inside voice, Lil Al is sleeping!! You can sit anywhere but that big stuffed recliner!! That's Mark's throne!! If you'll look closer, you'll see him relaxing with today's paper!! He works hard, he's a truck driver!! Don't worry he won't be there long!! In a minute he'll be in the floor giving pony rides *BS* His job takes up a lot of his time but when he walks through the door, we are his 1st priorty!! Well unless he's hungry *L* Notice my chair is empty *L* I'm chasing lil Mark!! Oh, I'm not complaining *G* I'm lucky to be able to stay home with my baby and keep house!! I have my peaceful moments *S* when lil Mark is at school and Sutton and Lil' Al are napping!! If you can't tell I love being a wife and mommy!! My hubby and my kids are my world!! Each one of my big and little hearts are my own little piece of heaven God blessed me with!! I am one step closer to one of life's greatest accomplishments. No, I did not cure AIDS or forge World Peace, but I did hold a miracle in my arms. Five, in fact. My children are my great accomplishment, and the opportunity to raise them is my greatest challenge. I don't know if my children will grow up to be great leaders or world-class brain surgeons. Frankly, I don't care, as long as they grow up to be good people. They are my greatest joys, even though I sometimes cry myself to sleep at night in frustration. The point is, everyday I get to watch my children take another step on the great journey of Life, and I've even gotten to point out some of the sites along the way. As challenging as parenthood is, it is also equally rewarding, because we are using all our wisdom, our talent and skills to help forge a new person. It is this person, these people, who, in turn, will use their gifts to create our future. So every nursery rhyme I recite, every swing I push, every little hand I hold is a gift to treasure!! And I do it everyday!! You make yourself at home while I go put on a pot of coffee and I'll bring you a !! Over there is the where we all spend a lot of time!! Feel free to look at anything in here!! Pick a good book to read from the bookshelf or take a look at our photo albums. Our oldest son's yearbooks are in here but you can wander into the nursery and look through our baby books!! I'll be back in a jiffy!!

DEAR LORD...
Dear Lord,
It's such a hectic day,
with little time to stop and pray,
for life's been anything but calm,
since You called me to be a mom.
Running errands,matching socks,
building dreams with wooden blocks,
cooking cleaning, finding shoes,
and other stuff that children lose,
fitting lids on bottled bugs,
wiping tears and giving hugs,
a stack of last weeks mail to read,
so where's the quiet time I need?
Yet, when I steal a moment, Lord,
just at the sink or ironing board,
to ask the blessings of Your Grace,
I see then, in my small one's face,
that You have blessed me all the while,
and I stoop to kiss that precious smile...
This is a Home Where Children Live
You may not find things all in place,
Friend, when you enter here.
But, we're a home where children live,
We hold them very dear.
And you may find small fingerprints
And smudges on the wall.
When the kids are gone, we'll clean them up,
Right now we're playing ball.
For there's one thing of which we're sure,
These children are on loan.
One day they're always underfoot,
Next thing you know, they're gone.
That's when we'll have a well kept house,
When they're off on their own.
Right now, this is where children live,
A loved and lived in home.

Each square holds a memory-
A birth, a love, a death
Pieced lovingly together,
Cherished through the ages
A family bound by stitches of love!!
