I was born March 5, 1960 and raised in a little town, Sumter in South Carolina. I attended Wilson Hall Academy and graduated in '78. I married my childhood sweetheart and had the first of two sons in April the following year. In '91 he had the opportunity to move to North Carolina when his company opened a new plant. That is how I ended up here and I have been here ever since!! For most of the marriage I was a housewife and mom, but when my oldest son went to kindergarden I went to work as a short order cook in a little grill. I have had several jobs over the years!! I have been an Office Services Manager for a furniture company, a plant worker in a medical supply company, a Deputy Clerk for Family Court in South Carolina, a W.I.C. Clerk at the health department, a stock clerk in a shoe store, a cashier at a grocery store,an Administrative Assistant in a realty office, and a Deputy Clerk in Criminal/Traffic in North Carolina. In '93 after nearly 16 years of marriage my first husband left me for his younger secretary!! At the time I was very hurt but later realized he had done me a favor *S* *thinking* I really must send her a thank you note!! *ROFL* It was kinda hard getting back in the dating game but after a little while I was having a ball!! For the first time in years I was able to buy myself new clothes.
I have always wanted to live in North Carolina because of it's beauty. My father's family are from Rocky Mount, North Carolina and visiting them as a child made me long to live here. My father's mother
was Cherokee. *S* So I am Native!! I
was not raised with the knowledge of my People but I am learning
everyday. I am proud of my Native American heritage and will pass my knowledge to my sons.
I have red hair and green eyes. I stand 5'6". I have lots of things I like to do!! I met a wonderful man in '94 and we were married the following year!!! We have three sweet little boys together!! So, once again I have a wonderful family that I love with all my heart!! I am a very good cook and Fantasy (hubby's screen name) can show you (oops!) I mean tell you that!! *LOL*
Whenever I need the quiet time to think, there is a big rock hanging over the river near my house. This is where I go to pull my thoughts together or just enjoy the peace and quiet and be lulled by the sound of the river flowing beneath me. *S*
