What if from everyone's soul came out a picture in front of them that showed who they are,
Like a collage, clearly,
There for everyone to see,
Would people still judge them?

Maybe not,
I think people would still hate,
It seems the world is still always after the innocent,
Even when they don't realize it,
But it all adds up- from each person.

In reality,
Even without an obvious picture,
A soul can be easy to see into, -just from
expression,
But I think people would rather not see who a person is,
It's easier to hate,
They would rather look away and skip that picture of beauty and all the scars and hurt too,
-The hurt and torment that came from being judged,
And the ones that have been hurt, silently hide on the other side of the blinds,
But surrounded by a brilliant glow,
Waiting for the world to let in the sun.

And the ones that once looked away,
Opening a window,
Are no longer in the shadows of what could be,
And the void in their heart fades away.

They Should

They should care about the earth,
It is our children's future,
To be reminded by them,
And it is what they care about,
If only people would listen to children,
And take their words seriously,
Their hearts are often wiser than our own.

People say they don't care about the earth,
But they care about how children are treated,
But the earth is our children's future,
If you treat it bad,
It's going to make them suffer.

Amongst the busy streets of the city,
There is a fast pace,
Yet there is a deep loneliness,
A union left waiting to be made whole,
It is very clear,
Yet sometimes it is more understandable when it is explained.

So many people don't have respect,
For the earth or for the children,
It's like breaking a gift that was given by a friend,
And that irreplaceable symbol shatters like broken glass.
