Contortionists twisting the truth,
In a circus of lies,
Feeding their audience,
Things sold in disguise,
The writers have paid,
For a novelty statement,
Thinking, "I'll lie for the cash",
And off it's sent,
The words are a mere fixation of greed,
A fallen apart puzzle,
Not taken with heed,

People don't see all the pieces left out,
The negative is shown,
The audience believes without a doubt,

It's a game of give and take,
They set the price,
The other gives a fake,
Someone's wild imagination,
Poured onto paper,
Skewed a story of exploitation.

Innocent hearts are willfully smashed,
In unknowingly judgments,
Hatred is stashed.

Because of Children and Animals

When there is joy in their eyes,
I see that heaven must have reflected on the ground
around them,
but the world can never be what they see through their
eyes,
nor does the world notice their beauty.

In their ways their love is not narrow,
it's so simple,
they will touch the broken hearted,
and inspire to the lost,
even when they don't mean to,
they will live with a purpose that goes beyond themselves,
they have felt honesty,
and found truth.

Sometimes we hide,
and the shade seems safe,
to hide from the pain,
but when one reaches out their arms gently,
comforted by what they have seen,
the colors of both of their lives will be shown,
no longer hidden into the shadows.

Some give up the chance,
they haven't seen it,
they take out their weapons,
and they give away their courage,
giving up all that could have been,
all that would have been,
life.
