practices. There will be NO organized practices on these days.
It is for solo practice only! Practice time is
May 16th & 23rd- Modernette and solo practice on these dates.
June
6th –
No Practice
Juvenile
Sunday Practices-
There will be Juvenile
practices on the following Sundays- May 2nd, 16th, & 23rd from 7-8:30. There will be no
Juvenile practice on Mothers Day or Memorial Day weekends.
Please take advantage of these FREE
practices!! The more twirl, the better you will get!!
Summer
Practice-
Summer Practice will
start on June 7th. We must start earlier because
they moved the competition at Notre Dame up a week. Unless otherwise noted,
Juvenile
practice will be held at
If
you have not turned in your vacation schedule, please give it to one of the
presidents as soon as possible!!
If
you are still in school when summer practice starts, please come to practice if
there is nothing going on in school that day
(for example, if you are only watching movies, cleaning
desks, etc.).
Our
first corps competition will be on June 19th at California State University.Please mark that date on your calendar now!
All
corps members are required to attend this competition in preparation for Notre
Dame.
**Pantomimes
will begin next week.
**Props will be starting now.
All parents are responsible for doing something. We will schedule a prop
meeting soon for all parent to attend.
I would
like everyone to be helpful and cooperative!!
State Competition-
A BIG thank you to Kim Kicinski,
Debbie Lisanti, and Lynn Sivetz for running our state competition!! It
took a lot of time and hard work, but it paid off.
States
was a great success!! Another HUGE thank you goes out to ALL the parents who
volunteered their time.
We
cannot do successful group fundraisers without the help of all of our parents!
Thanks again to everyone!
Senior Activity-
A great time was had by all Senior girls who attended the Senior activity- dinner at
Al’s Cafe, bowling and a sleepover at the studio!
Thank
you to Mary Kay Borowski and Bobbie Patton for
organizing this fun night for the Senior girls!!
Fundraisers-
*Panera Bread pick up
will be May 4th and 5th at Corps practice.
*Joe Corbi’s
& Granny’s orders are due April 20th for Juveniles & April 21st for Seniors. No orders will be taken after the 21st.
Don’t
forget to include a check for the full amount with your payment. You may post
date your check for the pick up date.
Pick up
will be Sunday, May 2nd, from
*Entertainment Books- We need
somebody to be in charge of this fundraiser next year. It will need to be
started in August.

Treasurers
Report-
The income from the group fundraisers was $2980 from
the Night at the Races, and $4200 from the Mystery Dinner.
Information from the States Competition will
be in the next newsletter. Money made from these group fundraisers gets
deposited into the Modernettes general fund.
* Please submit all bills,
receipts, etc, for the State Contest so we can close out the fundraiser.
*We still have money outstanding from other
fundraisers. Please make sure you turn
in your money and get your goal accounts up to date.
We need
all outstanding fundraiser money turned in as soon as possible.
Casey
Evans will be getting your final goal account statement out to you at the end
of next month.
Any money
still owed will be due at this time. Please make sure your fundraiser money is
turned in so your account will be accurate.
