The Lepcist Theater
The Lepcist Theater is located in the small Roman port of Lepcist Magma and is a great example of Roman architecture. The Lepcist Theater was created in the third century A.D. under the rule of the emperor Septimus Severus. In A.D. 196 the great Roman emporer decided to start reconstructing Lepcist Magma.  Since it was a large city it took 20 years to complete the reconstruction.  Fifteen years after the start of the reconstruction Septimus Severus died. During the last five years of the reconstruction the Romans built the Lepcist amphitheater, a new forum, basilica and temple, all dedicated to Septimus Severus' family.
