July 9, 2003 next day's entry
Hours at Work:  9:30am - 5:45pm

Surprise, we ran a bunch of tests today.  We actually finished all the tests for a pair of pins:  28 and 29.  Lindsay didn't show up today; she had told us she was going to be late because she had an appointment but then she never showed at all.

For lunch, Maria went and met up with one of her 'friends' and had lunch.  So, Aimi and I went with the guys from the lab to the Dairy.  Apparently on Wednesdays, the Dairy does a sort of outdoor grill thing where they serve all kinds of picnicy types of food:  hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, grilled chicken, etc...

After lunch we had a meeting with Pamela, Suvarcha, and Jean-Marie to discuss the rest of the stuff we have to do (which is actually a lot... we're pretty far behind where they had wanted us to be... but that's okay).  Anyway, she just gave us an idea of the types of topics we can use for our individual projects.  I think I'm going to be making a program that will use the electrical impulses from the movements of muscles as collected using electrodes attached to the arms to control a game of Pong.  :)

After the meeting, Maria had to leave early;  I worked on started to gather all the plots that Pamela wanted to see from the tests we've been doing.  And when we left the lab just after 5 pm, Aimi and I went to the McKeldon library to find some books that Pamela wanted us to get on EMG testing.

I went out with mom and Paula again tonight.  I had picked out this restaurant I found on the Washingtonian's guide to the 100 best restaurants in DC:  Pizzaria Paradiso.  It was REALLY good and fairly reasonably priced.  It was a little restaurant in the middle of the Dupont Circle area, but it had a really nice atmosphere and the food was very good.

After that we caught the metro back here and we all had a little bit of the Oreo Pie I made the other day.
