| Each Season A Rabbit The ceaseless cycle of nature Resplendent in its colourful dance Varied as a circus An endless advance Each season a rabbit In nature and in tone George is our spring The inspiration for this poem George embodies gentleness He is nature's love It's soft start and youth Warm tears cascading from above Summer eclipses spring Ragwort picks up what George had begun Bold, fearless and proud As lively and strong as the summer sun But all things must end Autumn hints at what is yet to be Little Poppy is our autumn Pretty as a frost upon a tree The year turns and weather warns Icy winter grips the land Daisy, white as snow Gives us hope that spring is near at hand by Paul Elliott |
