Background

Not too much is really remembered of his childhood except for the fact that he had a brother he looked up to.  His mother and father were both killed when his town was ravaged.

He was sold into slavery while his brother escaped to freedom.  After escaping the slavers at the young age of 19 he became part of the group of monks who had saved him from the slaver's hunters. 

Since that time he's searched out knowledge of many things.  

Some years later he started dreaming of different worlds and his mother was in all of them.  Leaving the monks to pursue the answers to these dreams they gave him their most sacred swords (Katana and Wakizashi) and an enchanted Igabakama (protects from hidden harmful things) 

The monks also told him where he could go and who to talk to for going to different worlds.  

Having an affinity towards animals all his life and now traveling the world he had started to notice that animals seemed to talk to him (mostly pictures of what they would say).  

After searching for 5 years to find "The man that is, but isn't" he had a dream that lasted a whole month explaining many things about himself and his mother's past.

Then he found "The man that is, but isn't" and had to serve for 100 years to learn what he yearned to do most since the dreams, to return to his mother's place of birth in another world.  Since then he's traveled many worlds learning many things for hundreds of years.

Then one day he decided to see what had become of his brother and returned home.  After many more years he finally found him...still alive to his surprise, but from a different "curse" than his own.  He also found out that his father was still alive, but hasn't really talked to him and instead left to see more.  Now after a few years he's decided to see his brother again...
