Christmas

The tree..... the presents.....the carols...... the snow
the hustle and bustle as daily we go....
The shopping . . . the baking . . . the wrapping . . . the cards.
making lights work, to light up our yards.
The holly...the ivy.....the garland......the glitter
they all seem to put our hearts in a titter.

The children...the laughter.....the dreams in their heart...
with Moms and Dads secretly doing their part.
Santa.....the reindeer.......the toys.....the elves
No wonder we seem to get lost in ourselves.

But somehow, in spite of this busy season,
we know that we do it for a more special reason.

Our children...our parents.....the list never ends
our siblings...... our neighbors...our colleagues....... our friends
our grandparents....our pets....our husbands .....our wives
the people who daily, have shared in our lives.
Our love for each other.......the Christ Child's birth
the reason for Christmas, and perhaps peace on this earth!

A heart full of memories..... as we quietly reminisce
recalling the reasons we do all of this.
Christmas is more than the toil and the strife
it's the way that we share the love in our life!

Your troubles be few.
